All For One, and One For All !

by

All for one, and one for all was the motto of a fictional group of French musketeer heroes who stayed loyal to each other through thick and thin in the novel of the Three Musketeers. Fitting perfectly into this week’s theme in Restaurant City as the story is set in the 17th century during the Baroque era and is partially set in the Versailles Palace, home of the King and Queen.

Ironically this title is even more fitting then just for this week’s item release, as you our fans are like our Three Musketeers (loyal to us through thick and thin) so to you I say “All for one, and one for all”. Due to popular requests from our musketeers, the Magic Boxes will be brought back on July 30 GMT for a limited time of three days only! Three days, three musketeers, hmmm coincidence ?

Starting with the exterior of your restaurants in this update, you will find just enough items combined with those of last week’s to accurately recreate scenes from any version of the Three Musketeers; many of these taking place on the steps of the Versailles Palace. To help you to not have to choose just one design or scene for your exterior we have now updated the game to allow you to design and save up to four layouts!!!

Inside your restaurants you will find some new extravagant bold items and marbles to help complete your interior design of the Versailles Palace. Marble Columns, Stone dividers, Elegant Rug and a few more colored wallpapers to add to your previous collection from last week’s new items.

For your customer’s Versailles dining experience we have added a wide selection of grand and exquisite seating. I highly recommend using the Courtesan Chairs in your waiting area for customers while they wait to be seated at their tables. What better way to start off their Versailles restaurant experience !!

Last week we introduced to your Baroque themed restaurants two new Lounge Bars The Exquisite and Royal Jade. Due to the increased popularity in your restaurants we have added extensions to go with these lounge bars.
*Please also note that the original Lounge bar extensions have now also been added back in the shops.

The Versailles Palace just wouldn’t be the same palace if it didn’t include Glorious and Rhythmic Fountains, sculptured Hedges, Harpsichords, Grand Statues and Wall Mounted Candles placed all over. One of these grandiose items is an exquisite beauty and can not be obtained by purchasing in the shops. Will you be the first to wow your customers by displaying this item in your restaurant?

These four animated characters are a must have to bring your Versailles theme to life. Just be careful not to place Porthos, Athos or Aramis too close to any customers to ensure they don’t get caught in the path of these sword swinging heroes as they stand guard and protect your restaurant.

On your menus this week we have added three new French dishes to serve in your restaurant as well as one new ingredient, Duck. These three new dishes added to your menus allows you the opportunity to serve your customers a complete French course. Rumor around the Versailles Palace is one of these meals once mastered is sure to make your restaurant a bigger hit then before !

Adding to the collection of employee outfits is a new Musketeer Outfit. Wearing the Musketeer attire is said to be a great honor and shows devotion to the King or in this case restaurant connoisseur. Show your employees your appreciation of their dedication, loyalty and hard work by honoring them with the privileged of wearing this outfit!

    ugh…seriously?

Where’s a theme for the people that don’t have foofoo restaurants? Dark, clubby, music themes. Sheesh. I’ve been playing for three months and every time is over the top cutesy and OLD. Give us something modern please. :)

  2. Sosiree Says:

penguin, i’ve been playing for over a year…. these themes were suggested by people on the survey and the forum…

wow its seems to be that you’re working harder in the items! we only need more music ;)

    excelent theme!

  3. hbmoose Says:

    Quack =)

  4. mc nasty Says:

I love it ! especially the flamingo hedges I hope they won’t be playfish cash items..
and the design of the onion soup is great, new dishes are a lot nicer than the first ones that’s a great improvement !

I agree with the fact that more music would be cool to match the themes, like there could have been a harpsichord mozart-like one out this week (though the pineapple overture can fit quite well), and underwater bubble sounds for a marine theme, evil laugh and screams when it was the haunted house/halloween items… release more music the customers wanna dance ! ^^

  5. spicaywasabay Says:

Great new items! Though…the duck looks like an alien head, and the French Onion soup looks like someone ate 10 pounds of cheese and threw up in a bowl D:

  6. Bev Opie Says:

Thanks for the new ingredients — especially being able to gift garlic!
I have had problems all day purchasing today’s ingredients — which really sucks since everyone wants to stock up on beef! The new decor is great though! Try to fix the ingredients purchasing PLEASE!!!!

  7. Brendan Says:

AHHHH! I want a harpsichord so much! please make a severely overpriced coin version!

  8. jennifer and the beans Says:

Um, it looks like Playfish thinks that “courtesan” is the female version of “courtier”. It is not. Definition: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/courtesan

  9. The Devil Says:

I having trouble buying ingredients, too. I lose my connection to the server. It’s very annoying.

  10. Rick C Says:

    Dear developer,

please look up “courtesan” in the dictionary.

  11. Rick C Says:

Wow, that sounded a lot ruder than I meant it to be.

I just wanted to point out that that word probably means something other than what you think it means.

  12. cocopreme Says:

The duck does look freakish! I love the Rhythmic Fountain, though. Too bad we don’t have expansions on the right side. My restaurant is as big as possible and it’s full. I want everything to fit in one layout without having to switch between multiple designs.

  13. Natasha Says:

I don’t know if it’s just me, but RC has been out of whack these past few days, expecially when it comes to publishing stuff on walls. I always get these errors and it’s so annoying because I lose the ingredients. Also gifting people has become such a feat, I don’t really know why. :(

    Cool theme this week though!
I like that I can unlock the nice fountain :)

  14. Natasha Says:

And where is the pink marble column?! :S

    • Bevypoo Says:

Wow great question I just looked and it in fact is not in the game. hmm should be thats why i put it in the blog update ill check into that ! Also for any info regarding issues your having I suggest checking on the forums we try to keep updates ect there. You can find the link at the bottom of this blog entry !

      • Pancake Says:

It is in the game, But its from Gourmet King, Not the Shops.
I found him twice and both has the pink marble column.

    • pyrographer Says:

That purple guy has it. LOL

  15. pyrographer Says:

Bevypoo, I just want to say that you do an outstanding job with this blog and in the forum :)

  16. TeresaBergan Says:

I really don’t care about decor right now. I just want the game to work!

I know that it is not my computer-just ran a 4 hour virus scan. Can’t purchase ingredients, can’t open my restaurant & other things without getting the old “lost computer connection” message. After 2 days f this, I’m about ready to quit this game as a too frustrating waste of my time!

Fix it-then worry about your too cute decor stuff!!!!!!

    • Penguin Says:

I agree. I really wanted to stock up on water the other day. Each time I made the purchase the game lost connection with server before it would save. Same thing today. I’m getting annoyed. More [too expensive] items to buy is neat, but I just want the normal things to work right. :(

    • LdyNimue Says:

I agree with both of you. What’s the point of making everything look good when the game dosen’t work. I also needed to stock up on water. Try fixing the problem before giving it a facelift. If a real restaurant had this many bugs it would be closed down!!

  17. Coco Says:

I was wondering if anyone has the versailles lounge bar in their shops. Because I can’t seem to find it in mine. I would really like to have it.

  18. jebaldover Says:

I WANT TO BE A ALL FOR ONE,AND ONE FOR ALL

  19. adhee Says:

I WANT TO BE ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL

  20. H Moe Thu Says:

hola! I need help, I can not get any presents daily, appear in my RC in the form of $$$. so I wont be able to have anything, ever … please, thanks … :) :D

  21. Ron Peterson Says:

Why, after spending around 50,000 in coins to invest in the sand wall dividers and sand decorations, did they just all disappear and go back to the original decorations that I had.

  22. Michiele Nichols Says:

I can not finish my sushi bar because no one has any salmon to trade. I would buy it if it showed up in the market. I do not pay money for these games, so that idea will not work. Can we gift or buy salmon please?
