Hello restauranteurs! Have you come down to earth since the Big Apple week?  Well, it is now time to take a trip up into space, as this week is all about the abnormal and space inspired interior! And as it is soon Easter, it has some easter items mixed into it all as well, as for those that celebrate Easter the cravings for chocolate bunnies is starting to become big at this time of year!

As it is soon Easter, there is of course an Easter egg hunt going on in Restaurant City at the moment. You can find easter eggs by visiting your friends restaurants. It works like the lost-wallet function that was added a few weeks ago. So when you visit your friends restaurant, and if an egg is found you are told that via a pop-up, you can then choose to publish to your friends wall that you have found an egg for them. If your friend claims the egg and choses to post a “thank you” wall post to you, you receive 500 coins as a finders-fee! The eggs are decorative eggs that can be placed in the restaurant. There are different eggs to collect, can you find them all?

If you don´t celebrate Easter and don´t know what an Easter egg hunt is all about, you can read about it on wikipedia:

The egg was a symbol of the rebirth of the earth in Pagan celebrations of spring and was adopted by early Christians (…)

The oldest tradition is to use dyed or painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. These eggs are often hidden, allegedly by the Easter Bunny, for children to find on Easter morning. Otherwise, they are generally put in a basket filled with real or artificial straw to resemble a bird’s nest.

One change that I hope will be welcomed as well, is that when you post a feed from your recipe menu to ask for ingredients you can now choose up to 3 ingredients to ask for in the same wall post. This means less wall posts if you are wanting a lot of different ingredients.

The St Patrick’s day items have now been removed from the free-gift feature. Now there are new items to send as free gifts, there is now a Chocolate Bunny, Chick Figurine, Easter Spices and an Easter Egg that you can send to your friends!  And the important thing about these items are that they are actually ingredients! You need them in order to learn the all-new Cute Chocolate Egg recipe! The recipe is limited by the way, and you need to learn it by 26th of April to keep it.

That´s it for Easter this week, so let´s continue with the big theme this week that is the Space Theme! You have never before seen as many items as we have in the stores for you this week, the Restaurant City team have gone mad!

For the outside you need to check out the awesome animated items! The UFO Roof and the UFO are must haves if you go for the Space theme. The UFO animates  as it sends laser beams and explosions! The Space Monkey and Alien Plant are also good items, that are also animated! And among all these space items, there are some Easter items as well, like the Egg Basket Decor. Remember though, that the items cannot be purchased before midnight GMT on Thursday!

If you think the Cute Chocolate Egg was a crazy recipe, then I don´t know what you are going tho think about the other recipes that we have added this week!  This week there are 4 limited-time dishes added! I have already written about the Cute Chocolate Egg, which expires on April 26th. The other dishes added this week are definitely out of this world! You need to check out the Moon Cheese Cake for dessert as well as the Meteor Crater Surprise which is also a dessert.  And not to forget the Zero Gravity Fruit for starter, which I heard rumours about has something special in store for you if you are able to get it to level 10! Will you be the first to get the Zero Gravity Fruit to level 10 and find out what the surprise is?

As these items are limited-time dishes, it means that you need to get them to at least level 1 before the time runs out, else, they will disappear from your menu. You have until the 26th of April to unlock the Zero Gravity Fruit recipe, while the Meteor Crater Surprise must be unlocked before the 12th of April while the Moon Cheese Cake can be unlocked up until the 19th of April.

If you have not unlocked the recipes (got them to at least level 1), before the time runs out, they will disappear from your menu.

There is also quite a lot of avatar items this week, many of you have requested that we do more avatar items, and this week we have listened! So you can find all kinds of crazy space inspired clothing this week to dress up your own avatar as well as uniforms for your workers!

As I mentioned earlier in this blog post, the Restaurant City team have gone mad this week with the items! That means that there are a lot of functional items this week for the interior of your restaurant, let me go through the functional items on it´s own as they are all really cool! Again, remember that the items will be available at midnight GMT on Thursday, not a moment before!

	Scifi Drink Dispenser Designed to serve Plutonian Lava Juice, but equally comfortable with lemonade. Effect: Serves drinks 10% faster.
	Ray Gun Stove In the future we´ll cook everything with ray guns. The future is now. It´s also the fastest ever grill at time of writing! What more do you need to know? Effect: Cooks 25% faster. The Ray Gun stove is available until April 22nd only!
	UFO Grill Works great in xero atmosphere conditions, also cooks a decent burger on earth. Effect: Cooks 8% faster. The UFO Grill is available until April 22nd only!
	Alien Statue Turns unsightly restaurant garbage into… unsightly green alien goo. Effect: Turns garbage into green goo.
	Alien Monolith The astronauts who found this had no idea what it was actually for — then they looked in the mirror. Effect: Gives your customers alien masks.
	Hypnotic Artifact Our earth hypnotists would give anything to use this mysterious artefact from the Moon. Effect: Makes customers wait a second longer (effect is not stackable)
	Purple Alien Pet This charming little fellow from Venus wanders around your restaurant scaring customers. Effect: Hangs out in your restaurant.
	Hover Loo Red Because the space age experience shouldn´t stop just because you need the bathroom. Effect: Works without breaking 5x longer and works 50% faster.
	Hover Loo Blue Designed by the US space agency. Astronauts sometimes need to use the bathroom really fast. Effect: Works without breaking 5x longer and works 50% faster.

Phew, that was a lot of functional items!! But there is still more to come this Thursday. You need to check out the animated Black Hole Door as well as the Scifi Table and Chair. Also note the very cool Star Scape Wallpaper for the proper spacey atmosphere and the Moebius Strip Sculpture is a must-have if you are going for the space theme.

Remember that  if you are in London, you will get the items at Midnight on Thursdays, if you are in Los Angeles, you will get the items at 5pm on Wednesdays,  if you are in New York, you will get the items at 8pm on Wednesdays and if you are in Hong Kong, you will get the items at 8am on Thursdays. These are all local converted times, to convert the time from where you live, you can use this timezone converter.
