We hope you enjoyed the Rock theme last week! This week for something entirely different, this week the theme is Hawaii. Since it is still winter here in Norway, being able to dream my way to the warmer parts of the world keeps me going through the cold winter nights. I´ll hope you´ll enjoy this theme!
Last week we introduced the new gifting system, we have had a lot of feedback about it – I thank you all sincerely for all the feedback we have received! All in all we do know that you are enjoying sending free gifts to your friends! This week there are some updates to this gifting mechanic, the updates are only that there are new items, but there is a twist! So, you can still send 4 different employee foods (these have not changed), you can send 8 Rock Theme items, however there are only 4 of them that are randomly displayed so if your friend wants a special something, you need to check out what you can send every day! You can now also gift 4 different ingredients, the ingredients you can now send to your friends are these:
As you can see, there are two new ingredients this week, the Pineapple and the Coconut! Don´t know what these ingredients are used for? Read on, there are two new dishes as well this week! In addition to these two new ingredients, there are also St. Patrick´s Day items that are exclusive to the gift-sending-feature! Don´t you know what St. Patrick´s Day is? So what can you use that Coconut and Pineapple for? Well, no other than a Hawai´ian Pizza and the Pineapple Smoothie. Yummi! The Pineapple Smoothie is a permanent addition, while the Hawai´ian Pizza is a limited dish that you need to learn before the 5th of April. The ingredients you need to collect for the pizza is: Pork, Ham, Pineapple and Tomato. While for the smoothie you need to collect these delicious ingredients: Pineapple, Coconut, Mango and Banana.

By the way, did you know that the Hawai´ian pizza is the most popular pizza in Australia? At least according to this wikipedia article:
Hawai’ian pizza is a pizza that usually consists of a cheese and tomato base with pieces of ham, onions, and pineapple. Some versions include bacon, shrimp, green pepper, mushrooms and/or jalapenos, but the version with ham and pineapple only is the most common. It is the most popular pizza in Australia, accounting for 15% of pizza sales.
Despite its name, Hawai’ian pizza is not a Hawai’ian invention. In Italy, “Hawaiian” pizza is considered to be a German invention (or a German modification of Italian cuisine), similar to the Toast Hawaii. A Canadian restaurant owner named Sam Panopoulos claims to have first come up with the idea of placing pineapples and ham on a regular pizza in 1960 at the Family Circle Restaurant in Chatham, Ontario, Canada.

So, what are the items you will see in the shops later this week? Well, I am about to tell you! First up there are some new avatar items this week! That´s 4 different tiki masks that you can dress yourself and your employees up in! And, this themed with the Tiki Statue that will make all your customers wear tikimasks, don´t get confused about who are your employees and who are not! I don´t think your customers would enjoy you ordering them to was the toilet!

And for the inside items for this week, I need to tell you about the Magic Water Tile, which your customers cannot walk on. And you have to check out the Coconut Tree that is animated as well as the Tropical Drink Decor. The Bamboo Grill will allow your chefs to cook 2% faster and it is a must-have if you are going for the Hawaiian themed restaurant! Check out other decorations such as the Turtle, the Shark Fin and the Scooba Gear! And there is no two ways about it, you need to put either the Sunrise or the Sunset Wallpaper on one of your walls,they are both gorgeous!

Not happy about the re-ordering / re-rating of the ingredients! It’s confusing to find which ingredient where in my excel sheet, as well as having to search for it everytime in my inventory whenever I want to trade!

I’m a massive RC fan, but I have to be honest, I was quite disappointed by the new recipes this update. Besides the use of some already overworked ingredients, the dishes were also lacking in creativity… Hawaiian cuisine is more than just Hawaiian pizza… With existing (or 1 new) ingredients, you could easily create dishes like:
- Mahi Mahi
- Raw Tuna
- Kahlua Pig
- Taro Pie
- Other Coconut deserts
I hope you put more thought into dish design next time… Cafe World started out way behind you guys but now they have the most astonishing range of dishes.

Dear RC,
I really love the mask items for my staff, but I think if you have a mask to be sold, I think you should add Hawaii clothes for both male and female staff, I have also created a thread in RC forum for this suggestion.

2nd post! I have no idea why u have to delete my post. I just complained about the problem that PF didn’t care to fix. I don’t even need to post here if u fix it asap or pay us a little concern.
5 weeks for me and some others, 2 months or 2 weeks or 4 days. How long we have to wait?How many stuffs you keep them away from us? All the gift, Limit dishes, Free Coins.
Everything PF suggest is NOT WORKING! This problem is not Player’s computer problem.
Anyway, at least, I know that PF is ASHAME about this, that’s why my post is gone. ^^
Feel free to delete it again and I will be back again. ^^

you could have done a lot better with traditional Hawaiian dishes…
since you admins of rc really read these…get rid of those pop ups above the customers of my restaurant! those click to invite pop ups are really annoying! and they interfere with the game play and are again. VERY ANNOYING!!!

I love the new ingredients and recipes. I LOVE HAWAII STUFF THAT COOL. I kinda disappoint that their no more bed. I was looking bed for my employees. I am newbie in RC I just play about 3 week. I just wonder are RC gonna in IPHONE APP. Keep up good work. I can’t wait for next week for new stuff.

For the next update, or sometime in the future, please please have the magic potion available for a recipe that GK can offer. I accidentally missed the deadline to level it & now it’s the only dish that I’ve missed the expiration date.. & I’m trying to max out all the dishes in the game -_- thank you!

p.s.s. I love the Hawaii theme, absolutely! But I agree with the lack of variety of new dishes… and I would like that every update had its own toilet, drinkbar, etc design! It would be really cool to have bamboo toilets or restroom cabinets… ^^

I so agree with you.. there are so many interesting Hawaiian cuisines that would be perfect in RC. Please, make more hawaiian recipes! That pizza was such a disappointment.

i have tried all day today to try and get on restaurant city to play and feed staff etc with no luck i dont know why i cannot get into this app as i play it all the time usually with very few problems so what is the problem today can you please sort this out for me thank you ;-(
