It´s soon the 14th of February which is Valentines Day! We have a bunch of items for you this week! I won´t dwell too much on this as I am sure you are keen to see what the items this week are as I know many if you have been eagerly anticipating these items, however, before I get to that I need to tell you about all our other changes that the Restaurant City team have done to the game this week!

Your restaurant will now automatically close if there are not at least 1 chef and 1 waiter working. When the restaurant is closed; no customers will enter the restaurant and your restaurant will not lose popularity, I am sure this is a welcomed change! Another change I am sure you will like is that when your restaurant is working in offline mode you can now earn up until 7000 coins! However, remember that how much you earn depends on your restaurants efficiency and popularity!
Some of you have also mentioned to us that it has been difficult to clear plates manually when the employee or customer has a name above their head, we have changed it so that it will no longer block your mouse click so that it is now easier to clear plates manually from the tables when your customers have finished eating their food.
We have also made some changes to the recipes menu – there are no longer any grayed out “level-up” or “learn” buttons, however there are now blue buttons displayed if you do not have the needed recipes. This means that it is now easier to buy the ingredients you need, should you have enough Playfish Cash – you can now buy the ingredients needed for a dish in a much simpler way!

We have also made some changes to the Gourmet King and what he gives out to your friends when you find him. We have removed a number of recipes and ingredients. This means that the Gourmet King will no longer be providing these ingredients and dishes: Mango, Raisins, Vegetarian Soup Noodles, Chicken Tacos, Chocolate Mousse and Meat Platter. This does mean that there are new ingredients and new recipes that can be shared. Two of the recipes have previously been limited-time recipes, which means that if you lost out or did not play the game when these were available, you now have a new chance to get them! Provided your friends posts the feed on their wall when they find the Gourmet King of course!
Oh, I nearly forgot, the Gourmet King will now also allow you to share items with your friends! The items that you can share with your friends are the following, I am sure they will appreciate the gesture! Note that some of these are part of this weeks item-release and can be purchased from the shop, however two of these are exclusive to the Gourmet King! Can you find out what the exclusive items are?

We are of course providing you with all the items you need to kit out our restaurant both inside and outside for the big day! Since we added the 3 different layout options a few weeks back, having a love-themed restaurant for one of them is very suitable for the upcoming weekend!
For the outside, the Lovely Roof is just magnificent and themed up with the Horse and Carriage and the Teddies In Love – your restaurant will be truly kitted out for the romantic time ahead!

As if all this was not enough, we do have new limited dishes as well! Make sure you check out the new dessert, the Valentine Cake, it is for sure going to be a hit with your customers! You do not want to miss out on the Love Potion drink, made out of strawberries, saffron and vanilla I am sure it is delicious!
The Valentine Cake is available to unlock before March 1st , while the Love Potion must be unlocked before March 9th.

Both of these dishes are limited. If you have not unlocked the dishes before the time specified above, the dishes will disappear from your menu, so you need to hurry and collect those ingredients.
Once you have unlocked any of the two dishes, you can upgrade them to a level higher than level 1 at any time. You can upgrade them also after the limited time period, but you need to remember to learn the dish you want to keep in your menu. If you haven´t learned the dishes (got them to at least level 1) before the period is over, they will disappear from your menu, however you may be able to buy these recipes in future.

Update is so lovely, but…
what’s about people who still have the problem “onRpcsFail [Event type=”rpc_fail” bubbles=false cancelable=?”, nothing is fixed. I couldn’t get into my restaurant for a week now.
I’m pretty sure playfish will keep ignoring us. Forget about the V’Day Cake and New drink for me.

I love the new updates.
I was just teaching my daughter how to “close” her restaurant by putting something in front of the door because she spent too much money on decorations. She didn’t have enough money left to give her employees food. The idea of closing our restaurants when there are not enough employees is excellent! Thanks!

Maybe one update should have been solving the connections issue. While it is great and good that we can earn big bucks now…I would rather just be able to log on and play the damn game. 27 tries today and that wasn’t during maintenance. I only got through a few times yesterday. This past week has been a nightmare.

wanted to use the new outside items for valentine’s day, but I wish there was an option for different outside layouts as well as inside! I hope this is being worked on so next time I can have multiple layouts inside and out ^_^

thanks playfish! i love the new items! very very nice, and i liek the fact that you made multiple doors, tables and chairs, and windows, so now everyone can make their own restrurant. i liek to be able to personalize my resto. and this will help, so now people who want valentines day themes wont all have to use the same items! love it!

I love all of the new features. A couple of people have posted in the RC forum in regard to the same thing that Hector has posted here. I really don’t understand the logic. So how would that work? If you bought an item for one layout then you would get 3 of those items to use in the other layouts if you so chose? I don’t think so. If items are in our storage we can use them for any layout. Are you saying that you would like to have the same items for every layout? Why would you want that? I’m sorry, I guess I confuse easily, but people were asking the same questions of the people that posted this in the forum. One person even accused Playfish of being greedy because we had to buy more items for the other layouts. LOL

I would like to congratulate you guys first off on an amazing update. The items are stunning and very nice and I like how you have different options for windows and doors this week. It all seems very Alice in Wonderland ish which is never a bad thing!
Thank you for taking player suggestions and feedback and removing the names above people entering your restaurant because it interferes with clearing dishes! Thank you so much for that because I was surely one of those players that pushed for the change!
Your new recipes are amazing! They look really nice! I rushed to finish the cake recipe already!
Overall it was an amazing update and surely worth waiting the extra day for.
Some suggestions for future updates:
1. more indoor decorations and more indoor plants
2. a higher chef/dishes trophy as more dishes are added
3. complete menu or menu completion up to a certain number = golden chef’s hat
4. ability to rotate restaurant so we can put stuff on two more walls in our restaurant
5. new ingredients/recipes…maybe something using peach since it’s only used for one recipe (peach iced tea)

Gorgeous new goodies to decorate with, and the bunch of new flooring in rose tones are well appreciated. The new tables, chairs and large amount of decorations, etc. are also well thought out – this can be used in a large variety of themes which is a plus.
Last but forever, thank you to all of you that were working (and still are) so hard to get all this done… congratulations
you’ve given players great opportunity to create a very romantic Valentine theme.

I like this upload very much, almost all the changes are really welcomed. Especially, the “automatic close” thing, it closes when no ones fed to attend it and the moment you feed your employes it automatically opens again, which is great.
There’s one chang, however, that I don’t find useful, and it is the non-grayed “level up” buttons. Before the change, it was pretty easy to spot the recipes for which you had all the ingredients needed to level it up; now, you have to go checking one by one to see if you can upload them or not.

Please fix the problem in exterior decoration (street view) where Z-axis of items are not being saved properly!! Some items appear should appear in front of other items, if this Z-axis information is not saved properly, it will appear differently to friends and also to myself on the next load up of the game. I think that the price for food for your employees to feed them is way too high. I can’t afford food for all of my employees anymore. It’s annoying. I used to be able to feed all of my employees for like $500 coins but now I need like $1000 coins. Please lower the prices a little please.

You don’t have to feed all your employees if you keep your restaurant closed. You can feed 1 chef and 1 waiter (leave the rest laying on the floor or sack them) and earn offline as much. You can use food gifts from your friends to feed those 2.

Hi rsstaurant city, i was playing the game today early morning 14th feb, and when my restaurant had finally loaded it up, my coins were in the minus, i would be interested to know why i lost my money and ended up in negative equity. If this is how the game is going to run from now on i have no interest in playing the game anymore. I like this game alot, i play it every day, religouisly. But i will not be playing the game any more if this continues, or if i dont hear an explination from you.

I used to play Restaurant city before. I love the idea of building your own restaurant. however I stopped at level 15 because it really needs certain number of hours to maintain a good restaurant. this post kept me updated to what’s happening with RC now. Thanks.
