Hello fellow restauranteurs! Restaurant City has been updated with an array of new items and new limited dishes!
The Holiday magic is continuing this week with new items for the holidays as well as the new stove and fridge inspired by the up-coming holiday season. Will you be going for a gingerbread theme this week or a candy theme, or will you even be able to fit in your Large Festive tree?
The Festive Stove will cook food 10% faster while the Festive Fridge will allow your waiters to serve drinks 10% faster, both these items are only available until January 4th 2010.

For the outside of your restaurant we have Gingerbread windows and doors, as well as Bubblegum, Winegum and of course the Green and White Holly. This will ensure your whole restaurants gets into the holiday spirit.

For the inside of your restaurant, you can continue the gingerbread or candy theme with the gingerbread walls and the candy chairs and tables, but let´s not forget the decorative Festive Tree and Presents!

Make sure you check out the 3 new limited dishes, mmm, I´d definetely eat at a restaurant that served any of these dishes!
This week there is one starter, the Reindeer´s Favourite, made up of only carrots of course! I am not sure if I would eat a Gingerbread House for main course, but it is surely yummi! For dessert, you can now serve the Festive Pudding which I am sure will go down a treat with your customers.

You can unlock all these dishes until Midnight January 5th. If you have not unlocked the dishes before that time, the dishes will disappear from your menu, so you need to hurry and collect those ingredients.
Once you have unlocked any of the three dishes, you can upgrade them to a level higher than level 1 at any time. You can upgrade them also after the limited time period, but you need to remember to learn the dish you want to keep in your menu. If you haven´t learned the dishes (got them to at least level 1) before the period is over, they will disappear from your menu, however you may be able to buy these recipes in future.
You will also notice that if you go to the Gourmet Street, you will now find restaurants there – also your cleaners will now clean your outside seating area.

but need to ask how about the outside restaurant expansion? i buy it but when i close the door, the ppl will come through the expansion side. need help for it, how to build the wall?

Hi Rebecca,
You can use any items you have to block off the side of the expansion by the street, but make sure to block the entire length or your customers will still be able to come in.

Okay so you finally give us faster appliances, and not only do they look stupid/themed, but they are for a limited time only, AND the stove is only for real world cash? That’s just ridiculous, seriously. I might, MIGHT be willing to pay RW cash if they looked decent and were available for long enough for me to save up the funds, but this is ridiculous and, imho, a stupid move on your part.

Great update… haven’t been able to get on since the app went down for maintenance, and it seems from the forum I am certainly not alone.. yet not one person seems to have heard back from support and nor has it been seen to yet!
Of course, has to happen the one day of the year sugar comes up for sale too

Really great items!
I have to say though, I’m kinda dissapointed that there are no hanukah items, or any other holidays that take place during this period of time.
I mean, I’m not trying to give religious education here to anyone, I just think that obviously there many people with different religions around here, and it would be very nice if you would acknoledge the other holidays too.
Christmass is NOT the only holiday during this time, and I did expect you to have some items that go with other hlidays, such as hanukah or kwanza or whatever other holidays take place these days.
I know this means a little more work for you guys, and I’m not saying do as many items as the cristmass items, but even 2 or 3 items that have something to do with other holidays would be very nice, thoughtful and considerately of you, and I’m sure that at the end of the day you will be rewarded for doing it.
I really do hope I would be able to see some othe non-cristmass items around Restaurant City in the next update

I don’t like the limited edition dishes. It is too much stress to trade with other people for the ingredients. If you are going to continue with the limited edition, at least make the ingredients available on the market before they disappear. That way everyone can buy at least 1 of each ingredient to unlock them before they disappear.

I love the opportunity to get rid of that passel of carrots I had, but the blue bar at the top of the playing screen needs to go. People with small displays (like me) feel like we’re trying to play the game through a peephole. Please move those links at the top back down to the side and give us back the extra room to see our restaurant (full screen has Java memory issues for older computers). Unless, of course, you’d like to send me a brand new, beefy desktop computer with a huge monitor to go with it. Moving the bar would probably be easier.

I’m giving up on the limited edition dishes as well. While the ones for Halloween & Thanksgiving were attainable, I still found it to be extremely taxing and stressful. Plus each one takes 4 ingredients, which we have to scramble to get. As of right now, I’m not bothering w/ the Christmas limited dishes. Waste of my time & coins. I’m really disappointed in the new stove too.
I really loved the other updates. Like the 1 with being able to earn coins + points while offline & friend helping. But these last few updates are putting a bad taste in my mouth and I’m beginning to not enjoy RC anymore…

hey i like the new meals but finding it really hard to get hold of oranges and raisons now i have unlocked 2 meals but am stuck on the main and desert its so stessfull tryin to get the ingrediants but it gets u talkin to people on the game that you might not have spoken to in a while

why its so hard to get orange? can’t we just buy the orange on the market? or can’t we plant the orange tree? anyway, i love the updates of RC, I can’t live without RC, this game is so amazing, very interesting and make people wants to play all the time

It is too bad that it needs PF Cash for the fast serving stove. I got the drink machine though. Hopefully PF will soon have a fast serving stove that doesn’t require PF Cash.

Just want to complain about the selection of seeds for the garden. I am really disappointed in the selection of foods we get to grow, so i filled up my garden for the last time, because I like the way it looks BUT I am not going to buy any more seeds, until they change the garden selection. I mean how much coriander and wasabi can a person have, and no one even uses it……..
